Monique (SIBYLLA KAY) is an attractive French girl engaged by Jean (JOAN ALCORN) and Bill (DAVID SUMNER) as an "au pair" to help with their two children.
From the very beginning, Monique settles in well-she is hardworking, reliable, excellent with the children. It is not long, however, before Bill realizes that he is strongly attracted to Monique. In sharp contrast to his wife Jean, who is sexually unawakened almost to the point of frigidity, the French girl seems to him to be totally uninhibited and thoroughly desirable. He finds himself unable to resist the temptation.
After his first night with Monique, Bill is a new man - the master of not one but two women.
Meanwhile, Monique is becoming more and more aware of Jean's undeveloped sexuality. Increasingly she seeks to bring forth from
Jean some kind of sexual response. For Monique this is a challenge - and ultimately she succeeds when she and Jean together achieve a lesbian fulfillment.
This is a shattering experience for Jean - the sudden, unbidden awareness of intense

sexual desire. The result is that for the first time Jean goes to Bill with a real eagerness for intimacy. Bill is blissfully ignorant of the reason for his wife's new and most welcome attitude:
But some days later the truth is revealed to Bill. He comes home unexpectedly to discover his wife in a naked embrace with Monique. The sudden shocking disclosure that both husband and wife have turned to Monique for sexual satisfaction leaves a complex and unique situation to be resolved.
