Teaser Storyline for Tomb of Torture

Anna, a young woman who is the reincarnation of Irene, a murdered countess, is afflicted with nightmares in which she reenacts the murder. In an effort to help her, her father, Dr. Darnell, takes her to the scene of the crime.

There, in the manor where Irene was murdered, other strange murders have taken place. Two young girls attracted to the castle because of the weird tales they have heard about it, are mysteriously killed. A newspaperman named George comes to the manor to investigate their death. He becomes Anna's protector in the series of harrowing adventures in which she becomes involved.

Two people have motives for victimizing Anna. One is Erehart, who is determined to find the body of the countess, his beloved Irene. The other is Irene's cousin, Elizabeth, bent on finding the countess' jewels.

Anna's condition deteriorates: and, lapses into unconsciousness, she acts as if impelled by a mysterious force she cannot control. In the cellar of the manor, she discovers Irene's faithful butler, who is living the life of a hermit in a state of mental and physical stupor. He recognizes his murdered mistress in Anna, but she is rescued from this peril by George. The newspaperman's love for Anna stimulates his determination to unearth the secret of the castle, and he ultimately solves the murder.
